Strand of a Small Akoso Beads

$180.00

A strand of antique Akoso (Akosu) beads made in West Africa, recycled from older beads and primarily decorated with pieces of green hearts.

These are probably the grandfather of the common “sandcast” powder glass beads made in the mid-20th century, but unlike those, old Akoso are very difficult to find, especially in strands.

Note condition: some wear and breakages, but generally good shape for their age.

Approximately 22 1/2 inches of beads.
